blake&marissa | muskegon, michigan wedding

There are so many lovely things I could say about this day… the silk flower secretly planted in her bouquet by her adoring mother from her own bouquet years ago… a celebratory walk back down the aisle to his parent’s wedding song ‘When I’m Sixty-Four’ (with a dad who is sixty-four :))… the perfect amount of fog that wrapped this already beautiful pair in that much more loveliness… it was all so wonderful.

And if you need more proof, just take note of how these two look at each other and laugh together while holding hands or dancing or just standing side by side. It’s always such a joy for me to witness, amidst the beautiful flurry of things that happen on a wedding day, a bride and groom who seem to totally just exhale and laugh and stare and obviously revel in what it’s all about and what’s happening. That’s the stuff right there. And I hope someday, should they have the joy of reaching sixty-four together, they can do a silly little dance to that fantastic song and remember it all over again like it was yesterday.

Blake&Marissa – thank you so much for having us be a part of your wonderful day! Your families and friends were so good to us, and that Hearthstone dinner was whoa dang amazing. You’re lovely, special people, and obviously totally perfect together. We’re so happy for you both! Enjoy a little peek into your foggy December day :)
