joe&rachael | grand rapids, michigan wedding

On a particularly gorgeous August day about a month ago, we met Joe&Rachael and all their lovely friends and family under the trees and along the river to celebrate an incredibly beautiful union.

This day was full of all the types of things that make for a perfectly memorable day. We darted between patches of warm sunshine and cozy clouds, surrounded by the peaceful sounds that can only come from being away from the city. The florals that decorated the entire place were handmade of paper by the bride… what could be more perfect than flowers that last forever to bring color to your wedding day? When it was realized that the only person who actually knew how to tie the groom’s tie was the bride, we had to get creative with a blindfold :) No one was stressed or anxious. The air was filled to the brim with the energy of laughter, tears, and hugs. And we got to feast on San Chez for dinner?! I mean… it was perfect.

But honestly, even if it had downpoured this day still would have been amazing. Joe&Rachael are beautiful people. They are easy to be with, quick to laugh, intentional to listen well, and truly make you feel like a million bucks. We’re so glad we got to be the ones to capture their day, because we’re just so sad it’s over! Can we please do it again?!

BIG love to the people that helped make this day! >>
