I remember thinking to myself before this wedding that we may go into a period of mourning when it was over, that’s how much Pat&Elizabeth make you feel like a million bucks. We met them through another couple who we had the joy to photograph back in May, and it was love at first Skype ;)

Gosh, what a joyful day this was!

Andy has been a friend of ours for several years now. We had the wonderful pleasure of going through the season of life that is undergrad with him, and he’s consistently been a true and amazing friend – with one of the best laughs ever!

So… enter Kelsey.

The miracle of new life is absolutely breathtaking. Watching these two speak to and hold their son in love and awe was truly a gift, and they are going to be (already are!) the most wonderful parents.

Anyone who is able to simultaneously be a little sassy and full to the brim with admiration and respect is one incredible duo in my book. You can tell they just LOVE being together, and it’s infectious. And after years of that dating life, it was a serious celebration to see them take the step into marriage. I’ll gladly take a front row seat to that!

It’s not often we shoot two weddings in one weekend, but for these wonderful people we made an exception. And boy was it worth it. Not only was this some of the most beautiful weather we’ve had all year, we got to celebrate Richard&Rachel, who I’m pretty sure laugh as effortlessly together as any couple we’ve seen. Which let me tell ya... it...

A few weeks ago, Drew and I got the total joy of celebrating with Matt&Amy, who – after an entire lifetime of togetherness (seriously… high school sweethearts! *swoons*) committed forever to each other in front of one of the most wonderful groups of family and friends we have seen. And while they stood up there, looking each other right in the eyes...

N&A – I am SO happy your paths crossed and you decided to commit to forever together. You are truly and completely a perfect match, and I mean it fully when I say you will absolutely leave the world a better place by your togetherness. Even if the only thing some get to experience is the amount of laugher your bring to a room :) thank you so much for asking us...

Austin&Tulia – there are about a thousand things we could say about how incredible this day was, and how perfectly it spoke about exactly who you are. From incorporating medicinal herbs (and hops!) into your florals, to a custom-made wedding dress, to live funk and a killer dance party… it was just so… you guys. But what will live on most about...

There are probably a hundred things I could say in this blog post about these two, but I’m going to keep it simple. They’re just better together. They’ve been through a lot of life in their short time together, and it’s been a joy to watch them travel it hand in hand, working and learning to do it to the benefit of the other. Which I’m sure...

Josh&Claire, you guys. Man. I’m not kidding you when I say there wasn’t a single moment in this day (or in any time that we’ve spent with them) that I didn’t see a sparkle in their eye when they looked at each other. The exhale of the anticipation for this day, and the laughs of ‘is this really happening?!’ were almost tangible...

A couple weeks ago we had the total joy of being a part of this beautiful wedding, and sheesh… what a day. Nate&Brooke, first off, are some of the kindest (and silliest :)) people you will ever meet. They make such an effort to ensure that the people around them feel special and loved, and were gracious enough to extend the same kindness to us. From start to...

We were adventured all around the city of Chicago with these two to visit some of their favorite and most meaningful spots, were treated to a killer dinner, and finished the night off taking a few photos in the pouring rain amidst the city lights. (Let’s all applaud Drew and his umbrella protection skills!) So basically, it was an incredible Chicago day.
